Dear Brother & Sisters,
The Board members at the Sydney Ports Corporation have unjustly made the decision to hire non-union Stevedores, leaving long-time unionized workers without their jobs. The Stevedores and their Union, Unifor, have made numerous attempts to resolve this situation, but the Sydney Ports Corporation refuses to reverse its decision.
The members of Unifor, Local 4624, are very upset about the loss of their jobs and their union rights. Some of the workers have been at the port for over 30 years and these actions taken by the Sydney Ports Corporation have been unjust and unfair.
Please join us at a “Rally” on Wednesday, May 7th to support us unionized Stevedores to make the Sydney Ports Corporation do the fair thing and respect our rights – help us say “No” to “Union Busting” and “shame on the Board for its anti-worker decision”
RALLY: WEDNESDAY, MAY 7TH
TIME: 8:00 AM
PLACE: SYDNEY MARINE TERMINAL
YOUR SUPPORT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED AND HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE RALLY.
In solidarity – Unifor, Local 4624 (Stevedores)
